Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I have decided to run for Milton City Council because I care deeply about responsible growth and the future of this area. My commitment is reflected in my successful efforts over the last decade. I have worked to balance growth and preserve the unique characteristics that have made what is now the City of Milton a dynamic place to live and raise our families.

My care, passion and stewardship for this community, its citizens, the environment and the beauty of the area have driven me to work tirelessly for a decade to protect, preserve and plan for the future of this area. My family and I have lived our dedication and commitment every day for 10 years. My efforts, successes and passion for this place we all call home highlight why I should be your Councilwoman.

As we transition from an unincorporated area to a fully functional city, it will take strong, proven leadership to effectively balance responsible growth while safeguarding the distinctive qualities so many citizens value. With your help and vote, I can continue to work for the betterment of the entire area.

I ask for your support and vote on November 6th so I can continue to serve our community as your Milton councilwoman. I will represent you with integrity, accessibility, responsiveness and a high degree of involvement in issues affecting the City of Milton.

All my best –

Julie Zahner Bailey

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

You may know me as a community advocate for schools, charities, responsible growth and the environment. My community leadership of 10 years extends to virtually every ordinance, zoning amendment, rezoning and land-use policy impacting what is now the City of Milton. I have also successfully written grants and secured funding to pay for land-use planning initiatives.

My 15+ year corporate career includes strategic development, budgeting and personnel management with responsibility for large-scale projects and operations. The combination of my business acumen and extensive work on behalf of the community distinctly qualify me to effect a successful transition to our new city. Others claim experience and involvement but my track record and dedication are unmatched.

I know many of you moved here because you value the unique characteristics of this area. You want Milton to keep the rural appeal that attracted you. We all know that growth will come, but growth can be managed. I have the experience and commitment to steer our growth in a direction that will prevent us from surrendering to development pressures and urban sprawl.

My vision is for Milton to be a fully functional city that works within its resources and existing tax revenues, provides superior fire, police and 911 services, and guides growth using a conservative land-use plan to protect the character of our community without overburdening our infrastructure.

If you share this vision, I ask for your vote on November 6th.

All my best -

Julie Zahner Bailey
