Dear
Friends, Neighbors and Citizens of Milton,
I
hope everyone had a terrific and safe Easter and
Spring Break. While Spring is upon us, the
work of the city continues and the involvement of
the community is more important now than
ever. Great progress is being made on many
fronts and there are some exciting announcements
that have come out recently including the ability
to officially use "Milton, Georgia 30004" as your
address, our courts now being in session, new
ordinances being pursued to help ensure community
values and so much more. My goal in
communicating with you directly on a periodic
basis is to ensure you have information that is
helpful to you so that you and your neighbors can
stay informed and involved in the decisions facing
the City of Milton.
As
you have often heard me say, this is a community
of thousands and it is important to me that the
voice of the community is central to how the City
of Milton evolves. With this in mind, I
encourage you all to read about the issues and
decisions coming before the various Boards,
Commissions and Council and to convey your
opinions and beliefs regarding the various
items. It is only through the voice of the
many that we can be sure the decisions made are
reflective of the desires of the majority of
citizens.
Your
attendance at these various meetings is important,
too. Remember, this is your community.
And, now, with City Hall located at 13000
Deerfield Parkway it is easier than ever to attend
a meeting, make a public comment about an item
that matters to you and witness first hand
discussions and decisions tied to ordinances,
policies and resolutions that directly impact your
qualify of life. So please, make it a point
this Spring and beyond to be involved in your
evolving community and ensure your opinions are
heard and counted.
As
always, I consider it an honor and a privilege to
represent you and I take my responsibilities
seriously. Thank you for your continued
support and involvement.
You
and your opinions matter to me. After all, I
am here to represent your interests. So
please let me hear from you. I welcome your
input.
All
my best -
Julie
